Diandra Paramita Sastrowardoyo (born March 16, 1982 in Jakarta, Indonesia) -- more popularly known as Dian Sastro or Dian Sastrowardoyo -- is an Indonesian model and actress.

In 1996, she was the cover girl of Gadis, a teen magazine in Indonesia. She later became popular as Daya, the protagonist in Pasir Berbisik (Whispering Sand). Dian finally kick-started her career on the big screen with a starring role in the boxoffice hit (In Indonesia and Malaysia) Ada Apa Dengan Cinta (AADC) (What's Up With Love? (film)). Since then she has established herself as one of Indonesia's most bankable actresses, starring in films such as , Banyu Biru, Ungu Violet and Belahan Jiwa. as well as foreign movies like the Malaysian produced, Puteri Gunung Ledang

Her recent (as of March 2007) television appearances include playing Raya in Dunia Tanpa Koma and a brief stint as the host of the game show Kuis Super Milyarder Tiga Milyar.

Dian Sastrowardoyo latest film titled Fana: The Forbidden Love, Dalton Alka Cinema production, a film company from Turkey. Fana scheduled to appear early December 24, 2010, the day commemorating the Tsunami disaster in Aceh in 2004, because of love-themed film banned in the mainland of Aceh, before and after the 2004 tsunami disaster. In the film, "Dian Sastrowardoyo" tested her acting skill was so extreme that she had to play characters Gayo, a Muslim transeksualis and blind, who must love her own brother, Azzam, who was played by handsome actor, Dude Harlino. In addition to the Dude Harlino, Dian also be paired again with the senior actress Christine Hakim and senior actor Deddy Mizwar.

Other Dian latest film is Cintaku Di Kabut Toba or Love In Fog Toba, the famous director Chaerul Umam. In this film, Dian will be paired again for the fourth time with the actor Nicholas Saputra, after they scored a huge success by "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?", "3 Doa 3 Cinta", and "Drupadi". "Cintaku Di Kabut Toba" will story of Seruni, a famous actress, who ran away from the noisy world of entertainment noise, to a remote village in Toba, North Sumatra. Her meeting with Samosir, who was played by Nicholas Saputra, changing drastically Seruni life. They then fell in love. However Seruni suddenly disappeared, and returned to Jakarta without saying good-bye to Samosir. Apparently Seruni had Alzheimer's disease. They later reunited ten years later in very different conditions

Agnes Monica (born Agnes Monica Muljoto on July 1, 1986) is a Chinese Indonesian pop recording artist, dancer, actress, songwriter, and model. Her career started when she was only 6 years old.

Her album "..And the Story Goes" (2003) made her popular as a teenage singer. It was a big success in Indonesia with the singles "Bilang Saja", "Jera" and "Cinta Mati". The album sold 30.000 copies in only 3 days and eventually got double platinum. In 2005 she released her second album "Whaddup A.. '?!" with the hit single, "Tak Ada Logika". It sold 50,000 copies in 10 days and went to triple platinum (with no album promotion in Malaysia). Her current album is "Sacredly Agnezious"; it features the hit single, Teruskanlah. Her biggest hit to date is "Matahariku".

Her success brought her fame not only in her homeland, Indonesia, but also in neighboring Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the Philippines and even in the Netherlands in Europe. Her twice performance at the 2008 and 2009 Asia Song Festival in Seoul, Korea, led her to fame in Taiwan, Korea, China and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. She is the only singer in Indonesia who has her own dance group called, Nezindahood, who always perform with Agnes on stage. In 2009, she began planning to launch her international career, and started taking Mandarin lessons. A result of this was her role in two Taiwanese drama series, "Romance in the White House" with Peter Ho, and "The Hospital" with Jerry Yan.

About the Song
"Godai Aku Lagi", the second single of her album, Sacredly Agnezious , was heavily inspired by several international acts. The opening of the clip mimicked the music video Moulin Rouge,while the ending of the video was a tribute to the international blockbuster Æon Flux. There is a scene in the video where Agnes Monica, wearing a white wig, is strapped on a chair but vanishes into thin air when she is about to be injected with a toxic chemical substance. This scene was based on Madonna's music video of Die Another Day. "Godai Aku Lagi" set a record of hitting 1.5 million personalized ring-back tone sales, resulting in the song going triple platinum.

The limited edition of her mini album sold well not only in her homeland, Indonesia, but also in Malaysia and Singapore. In addition, "Matahariku", the first single of the album, Sacredly Agnezious, was certified platinum folllwing the activation of 1.5 million ring-back tones in 2008, and also became one of the most watched Indonesian female Singer videos on YouTube, garnering over one million views less than 5 months. After 10 months, the figure rose to more than two million viewers.Then, After one year of it published, it rising again over 2.5 million viewers and rise up to 3 million viewers after one-half years.

BIOGRAPHY:

Sandioriva was born in Jakarta to a Sundanese father and an Acehnese mother. She attended the Al-Azhar School for her elementary and secondary education. During high school, Sandioriva joined the Pencak Silat and choir team of her school and won a choir competition. She is currently studying at the University of Indonesia majoring in French literature.

Her participation in Puteri Indonesia 2009 was controversial because she was representing the province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, a conservative Muslim province ruled by Sharia Law. Past representatives of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam had always worn a headscarf, but Sandioriva did not. Sandioriva later explained that despite not wearing a headscarf, she still upheld traditional values and morals - just like the Acehnese heroine she admired, Cut Nyak Dien

Touted as a contest of "beauty, brains, health and Eastern values," Kamidia Radisti of West Java beat out 33 hopefuls to be crowned Miss Indonesia 2007 Thursday night, 5 July 2007 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Disti, 23, receive the winning prize of Rp 75 million (US$8,300) in cash and represent Indonesia in Miss World 2007.

An avid swimmer who has competed nationally, Kamidia also participated in the 2006 Wajah Femina or Femina Face competition where she was a finalist. She studies economics at Padjadjaran University and is in her sixth semester.

Verna Gladies Merry Ingkiriwang, of Central Sulawesi was crowned first runner up; the 23-year-old medical student at Samratulangi University will receive Rp 35 million.

The second runner-up title went to 23-year-old I Gusti Agung Ary Kusumawardani of Bali, a student of literature at Udayana University. Ary will receive Rp 25 million.

This year’s Miss Indonesia pageant was a prolonged affair with performances from six different singing acts between various segments of the program.

Contestants were narrowed down to 10 finalists at the start of the show. The finalists proceeded to answer a series of questions chosen from a glass bowl onstage. Some were thrown relatively soft questions, such as the meaning of smiling or their personal definition of “sexy,” while others received more difficult questions on social issues like teen pregnancy and modernity within the Indonesian archipelago.

Ten contestants soon became five, and another round of questions cut the competition down to Kamidia, Verna and Ary. The final three contestants were all asked the same question, which regarded the loss of cultural assets in Indonesia. Kamidia suggested a weekly tradition for Indonesians to wear different traditional dress, such as kebaya and batik, to keep cultural ties alive.

Three smaller titles were awarded among the other 30 contestants. Dian Ayu Lestari of Maluku was named Miss Persahabatan, or Miss Friendship. Vicky Veranita Yudhasoka of Central Jawa was named Miss Beautiful Skin. Lastly, the title of Miss Favorite, as voted by fans and audience members through SMSmessaging, went to Jessica Tji of Bangka Belitung, who was also a top-five finalist. All three ladies will receive Rp 15 million in gifts and cash.

This November-December, Kamidia will go to Sanya, China to participate in Miss World 2007. Indonesia also holds an annual Putri Indonesia contest, where the winner will represent the country to the Miss Universe pageant
